What is your approach or style? 

Our photos have often been described as natural, whimsical, dramatic, colorful and bright. We consider ourselves to be visual story tellers and photographic artists, weaving between a journalistic, documentary and artful editorial approach. 

For weddings and portraits our goal is for you to relive your wedding or portrait session in amazement, remembering the defining moments and natural magic captured in your photos. We photograph unobtrusively during all major milestones, as in your bridal dressing, ceremony, toasts, and dances, as well as capturing candids of you and your guests, including details and portraits throughout the day. At other times, when appropriate, with some artful purpose and direction, we will create extraordinary photos, carefully selecting the light, place, and time of day, while suggesting poses that will allow you to settle into the scene, be yourselves, and look your best, so that we can create magic together! In the end, you will relive your day with photos that are TRUE and extraordinarily you.

 

What’s included in your coverage?

Please refer to our list of services and details provided for each wedding and portrait for more specifics.

Typically, for weddings, we suggest and include a base of 6 - 10 hours (hourly for elopements, unlimited for destinations) for covering bridal prep, bride and groom photos, ceremony, cocktail, reception dance party, and a send off. Ultimately, we want to capture the entire experience, but avoid duplicating moments. And we will provide you with a photo detail, timeline and shot list to help plan for all the photos. For portraits we suggest a base of at least 1 - 2 hours and will provide you with suggestions for time of day, location, styling and wardrobe for our shoot. Do you offer an assistant or second photographer?

Yes! We primarily shoot weddings with an assistant and many with a second photographer, too. This allows us to fully, and simultaneously, capture the day, and also affords us more creative freedom to make those extraordinary artful images, while not missing any important moments or details.

 

How many photos are delivered?

We carefully edit from our original captures to tell your complete, true, and beautiful wedding or portrait session story! Our client wedding galleries, delivered, typically hold from 400 - 800 images, depending on the nature and scope of the wedding day. For our portrait galleries, delivered, typically hold 25 - 100 images, depending on the nature and scope of the portrait session.

 

Do you offer prints, books, albums and digital files?

Yes! We are a big believer in printing your photos! We include print credits to help you toward your dream keepsake printed book or album, and also provide digital files for your personal use for web and printing.

 

How soon will we see our wedding or portrait photos?

You will see your photos soon after following the wedding or portrait session. Within just a few days, we will provide you with a “sneak peek” or teaser photo(s) to delight you! Following this, for weddings, while you are busy honeymooning, we will begin editing the wedding photos, and share another collection of teaser photos via our Blog and/or Facebook page to further excite you when you return. Finally, for weddings we aim to deliver your client gallery, and of all the wedding photos, within 6 - 12 weeks from the wedding day, including your teaser album design, as well as any products, and our custom USB thumb drive, of your digital proof files, included in the wedding collection. For portraits we aim to deliver your photos within 1 - 2 weeks from the session date, including your client gallery, and any products included in the portrait collection.

 

Do you offer a photo booth service?

Yes! We can set up an open air booth, with a portable studio set, some silly props, and a fun backdrop. You can even add your own funny additional props and select alternate custom backdrops, too. We would hire and bring a photo assistant to specifically manage the photo booth. Please inquire for more details and pricing.

 

How do we hire you?

Simple! Just CONTACT us today, so that we can set a time and place to meet and discuss your wedding and or portrait. An initial phone call of 15 minutes is usually sufficient to begin. For weddings, we may need more time to discuss, and to meet in person, in our studio. Usually, an hour consultation is fine. Meanwhile, we are happy to provide you with more information, and would love to learn more about you and your interest in our photography services. Once confirmed and booked, we are ready to photograph for you, wherever your heart desires, and we are looking forward to our next adventure, creating amazing photos together!
